Limited Addiction Gallery presents an exhibition of Justin BUA’s work entitled "BUA Musicology".
Justin BUA, the artist who created one of the best known contemporary art images today, "The DJ,"—and who is widely recognized as one of the most compelling urban artists of all time—has produced an unprecedented visual journey through the underground world of urban music in this visually arresting exhibition. BUA began his work on the untamed streets of New York City’s Upper West Side. Fascinated by the raw, visceral street life of Manhattan, BUA used his art as a tool to capture urban culture and spearhead the unique style of Distorted Urban Realism. BUA’s previous show with Limited Addiction was featured on the cover of the Denver Post and discussed in the New York Times feature on BUA published in May 2007. BUA currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to work in multiple mediums and is a professor at USC.
